I'm Bored Jar for Kids

Hello! It’s Vanessa with See Vanessa Craft and I’m back with a fun summer project for you. I’m prepping for the dreaded “I’m bored” phrase that my kids utter around week 2 of summer break. It’s tough when you live in the valley and you can’t necessarily tell your kids to just go play outside, because it’s so HOT. Creativity is a must. You can head into an As You Wish Pottery studio and paint a “bored jar” of your own. Fill it with popsicle sticks that have kid-friendly activities on them, that kids can pick from when they are bored. A total mom win!

Step 3: Come up with a list of “bored jar” activities together and write the activities on the popsicle sticks in permanent marker. Some examples include: make popsicles, play with chalk, make bubble wands, paint at As You Wish, etc.

Step 4: Place the sticks in the “bored jar”. When your kids either say that they are bored or you want to do a fun summer activity together, pull out a stick and do what it says.
