Items painted with acrylic paint are NOT food safe, microwave, or dishwasher safe and DO NOT need to be returned to the studio for firing.
Items painted with underglaze paint ARE food safe, microwave and dishwasher safe, and DO need to be returned to the studio for firing.

ACRYLIC PAINT – If you choose Acrylic Paint please know that acrylic paint can stain surfaces and clothing. We recommend protecting any surfaces you will be painting on. Acrylic Paints are not food safe, microwave safe, or dishwasher safe. ACRYLIC PAINTS CAN NOT BE COMBINED OR USED WITH UNDERGLAZE PAINTS. ACRYLIC PAINT IS A NON-FIRED PAINT AND DOES NOT REQUIRE PIECES TO BE RETURNED TO THE STUDIO FOR FIRING.

UNDERGLAZE PAINT – I understand that I must return my painted pottery to As You Wish for glazing and firing in order for my piece to be food safe. Pieces will be ready 7 days after returning them to the studio. As You Wish is not responsible in anyway for the outcome of your pieces as with a take home option we have no control over how pieces were handled and how paint was applied. Please use only the glaze provided to paint your pieces – failure to do so could result in refusal to fire your pieces to prevent damage to our kiln.
