Community Awareness – Cultivate Goodness & Backpacks 4 Kids AZ

At As You Wish we are committed to giving back to our community and fostering a sense of goodwill and belonging while providing a safe, fun-filled environment for our customers to spend quality time with family and friends. We know that every family may not have the opportunity to spend a day painting in one of our studios, so we look for other ways to positively impact the lives of those in need in our communities, often times with help from our customers and organizations like Cultivate Goodness.

Cultivate Goodness is an awesome organization that makes serving easy! They seek out areas of greatest need and provide relief, cultivating goodness in our local communities and worldwide, uniting in a common goal of helping others. Cultivate Goodness’s foremost objective is to lift and bring joy to those they serve with whom they serve. Join us in spreading goodness!

We’ve partnered with Cultivate Goodness for the month of June to collect cash donations and school supplies for Backpacks 4 Kids AZ. Kaitlyn started Backpacks 4 Kids AZ when she was 11 years old. One of her friends didn’t have any school supplies and Kaitlyn wanted to help, so she and her mom picked up the supplies for her friend. This led to a conversation that brought an awareness to how many kids in our community do not have access to necessary school supplies. Kaitlyn’s mom knew that they could not buy supplies for every student in need, so they decided to host a school supplies drive at Kaitlyn’s school. Enough supplies were collected to give to everyone that needed them! They are now an organization that gives an average of 1,000 backpacks with school supplies and Love Bundles (bags for kids entering foster homes, shelters, or who are homeless). Backpacks For Kids AZ‘s mission is to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed in the classroom by providing free school supplies to students most in need.

There are two ways you can help!
1. Round up your change at the register and donate to Backpacks For Kids AZ.
2. Donate new supplies in Arizona studios.
